Polls closed just minutes ago but with the expertise of the finest countermonkey's have projected a landslide win for former WWBN Mad Mad World Host Dunena Reid.
Exit poll results give a strong 80% majority result for the newcomer with some even choosing to vote for exotic animals then give a vote to Frump in what has to be his worst result ever.
You heard it here first, Dunena Reid is the new American Minister for Magic!

Wow it's been hard to keep up with the calendar when such big events have been happening on board! I'm going to try really hard to keep this short and to the point as much as possible (and will no doubt fail as usual) Recently we saw the end of the Fight the Darkness Protest, a thread that has gone down in history for bringing forward some of the biggest players in the Magical World face to face for a showdown that I don't think anyone was expecting! What started as a off-the-cuff idea broadcast on Dunena Reid's radio show quickly spiraled into the biggest thread we've yet to have on Wizards Without Boundaries. Furthermore it seems that the outcome of the protest is still lingering on, it will be interesting to see what will happen to each of the players in time as history decides what, who and how to treat those who where to blame. So congratulations are in order to Julie and all those who took part, and thank you for really sticking it to the man and bringing the world of wizarding politics, combined with the spirit of the Occupy Wall Street movement to life as never seen before! It's also worth having a quick run over and introduction of some of the 'big players' in the Magical World. Most of which you will find in the Character Database of all the known faces of Wizards Without Boundaries. Ronald Frump is of course the American Minister for Magic and is usually roleplayed by Dunena Reid, Cherry Clinger and Greta Greenwich Dominic Benolt is the French Minister for Magic, the opposite of Ronald Frump he is usually roleplayed by Fifi LaRoux. and introducing Daniel Davenport the fab. head of WWBN..yep.. all you WWBNers.. it's time to meet your boss! he's usually roleplayed by Cherry Clinger and Greta Greenwich. You can get a glimpse of all of them at the Wizards Without Boundaries Polyvore account which keeps together all the 'visual' guide to the site and it's characters/people. Speaking of WWBN, I hear the combined Global Voice and WWBN Halloween Party is 'the place to be' right now. With tensions still high from the protest, some rather interesting guests and costumes aplenty I'm sure it's going to be a interesting night. Finally, after many months of being 'relaxed' about activity we are starting to ramp up to requiring people take a bit more effort in keeping up with events. Because we know it's tough to balance life and roleplay but it's also important to check in lest you get behind. We try to keep things fair and help out wherever possible, so if you feel lost in events it's simple to read back on the blog, or even just ask and we can give a full update of what's happened since you where here last. Heads of School's have now been put up for adoption and messages will be getting sent out to the few members who have registered but not taken part in roleplaying for a number of months where they are tying up high level positions. For the majority this will not affect you at all as you've all been brilliant at staying in touch and letting us know what's going on. To the others we ask why not? There's plenty of opportunities for roleplay all over the world with events and open threads just waiting for you to jump in and give it a go. See.. I knew this would get long. Lotsa Love, and see you in threadage soon! - M |
