Update from the 2012 WWBN Election Newsroom...
Polls closed just minutes ago but with the expertise of the finest countermonkey's have projected a landslide win for former WWBN Mad Mad World Host Dunena Reid.
Exit poll results give a strong 80% majority result for the newcomer with some even choosing to vote for exotic animals then give a vote to Frump in what has to be his worst result ever.
You heard it here first, Dunena Reid is the new American Minister for Magic!

Woa, where did November go? Damn these months sure do fly! So December is a special month on Wizards Without Boundaries, we're seeing the first bunch of graduates from Gippsland Grammar who will soon be undertaking Exams with high hopes to go off to the bigger magical world. So Congratulations to Storm, Kat and Adrienne are very much in order! To assist in those final school threads we now have a special NPC named Yrjö Hämäläinen (We just call him Nigel) who is our contact from the Ministry of Magic Education Department and in charge of responding to letters and holding examinations. Joining him is Fungus Blake who is a much loved old character of mine charged with dealing with your general ministry inquiries which he will deal with in typical Fungus efficacy, so don't be surprised for the odd mess up on occasion lol. Other news for this month is that we've sadly farewelled Luca from the post of Headmaster of Accademia Magica di Italia Take care Scotteh, and we wish you a swift return from Real Life! We are now looking for Two new characters to take over the running of Italia and Tenkō the Japanese School. Think you've got what it takes? Then let us know! A month is, as always a long time in Wizards Without Boundaries, we've now passed 1,600 posts and gained a whole bunch of interesting new characters and NPCs along the way. Because of this we now have a forum to detail Named Characters so that you can share more details about the people behind the famous names. However this does come with a reminder to not go crazy (pfft like you guys would?) and remember the unregistered NPCs should only be posted alongside real characters and cannot be the 'main' roleplay for your character. Also, there's been a couple of questions about swearing in posts. Basically Wizards Without Boundaries is a site for adults, it is NOT a adult site. What this means is that I and "Q" believe that there are times where swearing is appropriate and in character. To this end we do not censor swearwords except to give a thread a M rating if they are of high impact. That said we also believe that some turns of phrase are inherently vulgar and highly explicit in such a way that it makes others in the thread uncomfortable and hits up against our Terms of Service. In these cases a edit is required. If you ever feel unsure about something your writing you can pm it to admin first to check or just post it. We're about keeping things fun, not censorship. On the flipside if for whatever reason you are offended by swearing it's a simple matter to mark your threads with G Rated, this forces all posts to adhere to no swearing for the length of the thread. In addition most Class Threads, The Global Voice, WWBN (with exception of The Cherry Clinger Show and Dunena's Weird Weird World) and the Ministry of Magic Departments are all G rated and 'safe' for all. Finally, thanks to a off-comment we now have a Wizards Without Boundaries Scoreboard to keep track of some interesting and amusing little statistics. Don't forget to add your own ideas as well! So there you go. The great thing about trying to sum up everything each month is that it reminds me of all the excitement of that first day which has never gone away Now I'd better get back to work! - M Things coming up This/Next month! - Gippsland Grammar FINAL EXAMS!/Last Day of School - Happening on the 2nd of December! - Gippsland Grammar Graduations/Awards Night? - We'll keep you posted! - Christmas/New Years! - Who's doing what? We dunno but it should be fun - Exploding Cricket??? When/Where?? Ohyeah! |
