"All right then, Lisa," Emma spoke to the small girl guide in the hospital bed. "You keep getting better and I'll stop by tomorrow with those books you wanted," she promised, hugging Lisa and waving to Lisa's mums as she turned and headed out the door. It frustrated Emma that Lisa had to spend time in the hospital like this but at least she was improving and it helped in the long run. Her shoes were silent on the tiled floor as she walked, the advantage of soft soles.
Also, one of the disadvantages when you're not really paying attention to where you're going or who or what may be in your path which is what led her to walk straight into someone as she walked off the elevator into the lobby of the hospital.
