Update from the 2012 WWBN Election Newsroom...
Polls closed just minutes ago but with the expertise of the finest countermonkey's have projected a landslide win for former WWBN Mad Mad World Host Dunena Reid.
Exit poll results give a strong 80% majority result for the newcomer with some even choosing to vote for exotic animals then give a vote to Frump in what has to be his worst result ever.
You heard it here first, Dunena Reid is the new American Minister for Magic!

Okay so, another week, another week of progress. First up is a reminder for anyone who's registered a character but hasn't quite got them moving that there's no reason not to jump in or throw up a open thread to start roleplaying, we'll always have someone to rp with including Adminnies who will jump in if a threads been open more then a couple of weeks. Bit of a odd week this one thanks to work but two new interesting documents have come out of it and a discussion on how the magical world works has led to the decision to adopt a 'single world' canon. This means that everything from the books ic and ooc is now canon. Characters are allowed and perfectly encouraged to discuss the books and films on the level of any Hollywood film 'based on a true story'. A better way to see how this changes the magical world is to check out our brand spanking new Timeline which gives a overview of how the magical world has progressed in the last 50 or so years. It's spoiler free, so don't worry if you haven't read the books yet. The second, and possibly most useful document ever, is the Character Database, a complete reference of every registered character, key player and others mentioned on Wizards Without Boundaries with their basic facts and statistics. It will be keeping us up to date with the who's who of everyone as we grow so it's important to post if you bring in a new major npc (family or other bigwigs) so that they can be added. I'd also like to thank our two new media players, WWBN's Weird Weird World which is a call in 'conspiracy' shock jock style show hosted by our own Dunena Reid out of New York, and Greta Greenwitch writing for The Global Voice. No doubt there's sure to be plenty of stories coming from those two, and you'll see the best of it highlighted in the sidebar as the news headlines. Finally, due to some issues with our shoutbox we've now swapped to cBox.ws, this shouldn't be a big impact but you'll now find the cbox on the bottom of the main page (where it used to be) and a Open Cbox button on the bottom-right hand side of every other page. This means you can bring up the cbox anytime without having to stop what your doing. Nifty yeah? You can also add your own little avatar by pasting a image link in the 'email/website' form and "Q"'s already seen to making sure we have lots of fun smiles to play with. ..and to think, this is a quiet week on Wizards Without Boundaries Lotsalov M |
